Fishing Pier

The 625-foot, wheelchair accessible fishing pier at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel extends into the Chesapeake Bay and allows fishermen to experience deep-sea fishing, 3.5 miles from the Virginia Beach shoreline. Cleaning stations, as well as a certified weighing station are available. A one-way toll of $12 per car is collected to access the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel; there is no additional fee for unlimited use of the fishing pier. A fishing license is not required. Bait & Tackle

We offer bait and tackle items as well as 4-hour fishing pole rental and ice. The fishing pier is free and a fishing license is not required but you need to register with the VA Marine Resources Commission and obtain a FIP number. This is a free service and can be done online at VA Marine Resources Commission or by phone at 800-723-2728.
